Patrick, Thanks for all the work you are doing on this.

A couple of questions arise when you write "Sites running 2.1.x or earlier
should check the
ReleaseNotes page for important changes before upgrading." :

1. Do you anticipate that the process of upgrading from a 2.1.x version (I'm
still running 2.1.7) to the final 2.2.0 version will  involve any
complications?

2. Is it recommended to take an intermediate step (i.e., install a
particular beta version) before the final version is ready to download?

Not having a lot of time to do upgrades, my strategy has been to wait until
the beta process is complete.
