Maybe you are using a skin that is not validating. You may want to fix your 
skin, changing the first
   <html>
to
   <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

I do. Actually, I wrote to the mailing list, when the W3C Validator upgraded 
and the default skin didn't validate anymore :-)
