[pmwiki-users] auto rewriting of urls that look like dates (bad)

I included this url in my wiki page:

[[http://foo/connect-2007-05-25.tgz|the tarball]]

pmwiki rewrote the url to something like

http://foo/connect-Sunday-25-May-2007.tgz

This is pmwiki 2.2.0-beta17.

In spite of thoroughly reading the docs, I don't recall seeing
this sort of thing mentioned, and also don't recall seeing how to
to stop it.

Therefore, I had to change the Makefile generating the tarball,
rerun it, upload the new file, and change the documentation
mentioning the name.

What other similar markups, not involving obvious delimiters like
backquotes, apostrophes and brackets lie lurking?

Moral: it's possible for SW to get too smart for its own good.

Thanks.
