This shouldn't be too hard. I see that Chris Cox is promoting PmCal
for this also.

I'm inclined to think about a different display, based on days
rather than weeks or months. That is, an administrator can set
the calendar to display today - x days ... today ... today + y days.

I'm also inclined to pull in the full content of each day that
has a wiki page, and make the date link an edit link. All very
straightforward...

Are there any views on what this should look like?
