Actually i do it just using a normal FTP program (Filezilla) i look at
the wiki.d dir and i sort the files by modification date, and i
download only files modified since last time i did it.

Should be easy to write a script that parse the directory, serach or
file with a mod date younger than a one u give (or does a full backup)
and generate a zip/gzip/tgz archive and put it into a backup directory
giving you the chance to download it immediatly. And maybe having
restore funztion too.

Packing files into a unique zip file compress them a lot (the are
text) and reduce download time. You give me a good idea, let me see if
i can put up something like that :)
