I updated view.php in
http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/ViewModes
to include a $EnableViewSwitching variable, which can be set to zero
to disable the cookie setting of the $View variable.

I also changed 'stealth' to 'display', so we got right now
as view modes:
   standard
   author
   admin
   display

I don't know how to internationalise the key-value pairs in the
$ViewList array, apart from redefining the lot.
