[pmwiki-users] Two pmwiki install on the same site

I have a site running under http://www.example.com/abc/pmwiki.php
Now, I have to redesign the site, and at the same time pmwiki-2.2.0 is
taking shape.

In order to avoid problems, what if I install the pmwiki-2.2.0-beta on
some http://www.example.com/xyz/pmwiki.php (so, a different directory)
and quietly develop the new site?
Would it trouble somehow?
Would/could it mix and/or conflict with the original install?

I "should" know, but feel slightly confused and prefer to double check
before messing things up :-)
