[pmwiki-users] multilingual wiki site?

i'd like to pick your collective brain on the following;
i have to set up a website for a festival and would like to use pmwiki 
for it.
for the structure i am considering using catagories for different 
editions/years of the festival. that way, Main.HomPage would this year 
have to be 2006.HomePage, while in the archive last year's homepage 
would be available as 2005.HomePage, etc.
this is a bit tricky, as the current hosting does not allow .htaccess 
use so i'll have come up with a different way of mapping the main 
categorie to the current year.

besides this, the entire site has to be dual-lingual
what would be a good structure to do this?
wikifarming would be one way, but seems a bit of an overkill
what methods have others used and with what results?

also, as a neat little extra, i would like to have each page 
automatically link to the same page in the other language, so;
<language1>/2006/Programme would provide a link to 
<language2>/2006/Programme
any suggestions how to do this?
