[pmwiki-users] Core Version Numbers

I have to admit, my normal instinct would be to go from primary release 2.X to betas 2.X.Y, and then make the following primary release 2.X+1

It's an excellent point, but we took the same numbering approach with
2.0.betaXYZ <-> 2.0.x and (as far as I know) we didn't run into
any real confusion.  I'll  have to think about it a bit more
(opinions from others welcome).
