Please be a bit more specific.

What exactly did you specify in .htaccess?
What did you specify in config.php?
What do you mean with "PmWiki indicates [a] URL"?
What link? Broken in which way - does it refer to a nonexistent page, or 
is it simply wrong? If it's wrong: Wrong in what ways?
