Some (most?) email clients that support HTML- or Text-formatted
messages allow you to define a default based on the domain. Once
that's set you're fine. In Mozilla Thunderbird it's Options ->
Composition -> Send Options .

Sending HTML-formatted email to the list (%cough, cough% especially a
top-posted reply ;-) ) will decrease your chances of getting a
response. I don't mean to be nasty, just realistic.
Capitalization and punctuation helps, too.
