Once you enter an Author name, it's supposed to remain in effect
until you use ?action=logout or change it somehow. So if it's not
doing that, there must be something else going on. Perhaps a problem
with a skin, a browser setting, or a domain name issue.
Can you check your browser's cookies and see if there's a setting
for 'hygguideauthor'? If not, then the cookie isn't being set for
some reason.
Is there a url we can look at?
