[pmwiki-users] Recent changes missing most changes

Thanks, Patrick!
And by the way, thanks for all the work you've done on this excellent
piece of software. The little problem I seem to be having with "recent
changes" is pretty minor, otherwise everything works great and is very
easy to use.

Not sure why you couldn't access my site. It's running on my desktop
computer and is connected to the internet via the local cable TV
company. I am the administrator (if I'm worthy of such a title) so
anything might be going wrong without me knowing about it. I have asked
my kids, who all live in other cities (Ottawa, London and Kitchener,
Ontario, Canada) to see if they can access it.

All Recent Changes works now that I understand where it is (thanks) and
I think it is picking up all changes.
I deleted the contents of the Recent Changes page in the Events group
(which definitely wasn't' working) and now it seems to be picking up all
changes. I started out with pmwiki version 2.0.beta54, so I don't know
why this should be. I suppose I could just go and delete the current
contents of the Recent Changes pages for each group, but I'd like to
know why this is happening.

I don't have any cookbook recipes loaded. I have written a php gallery
creation script, which works externally to pmwiki.php and does add pages
to the wiki. I don't expect these pages to show up in Recent Changes,
though it would be nice if they could. I see in some of the recent
activity on the mailing list that the pagelist markup might be able to
do this for me.

Anyway, I don't want to waste your time, so I'll get back to you when
I'm sure that my wiki can be accessed from the internet as well as my
local intranet.

I tried accessing the site you gave but keep getting an "operation timed
out" error.

Do you have any cookbook recipes loaded? Perhaps one of those is
changing the RecentChanges configuration.

Is your site an upgrade from earlier versions of PmWiki? Perhaps the
RecentChanges are appearing at the bottom or the middle of the page.
(The RecentChanges page format changed slightly in 2.0 and this can
cause the recent changes to appear in the middle or at the bottom of a
page. If this is the case, just erase the RecentChanges page or
manually edit it to put the latest entry at the top and all will work
again.)

All PmWiki installations have an AllRecentChanges page by default,
usually in Site.AllRecentChanges.
