Try it again now -- the trick is to make sure that the pages are
in UTF-8 mode.  (For a huge variety of reasons, PmWiki and pmwiki.org 
default to iso-8859-1, but by setting the translation page value of 
'xlpage-i18n' to 'utf-8' that it switches them.)
