The problem may just be a permissions problem on the directory or on
the .lastmod file -- try removing wiki.d/.lastmod and see if that
resolves the problem.
Safe_mode generally causes different warnings to appear, and you'd
have trouble saving any pages (as opposed to just getting the warnings).
More information about the pmwiki-users
