I know this is true for Swedish keyboards, and after looking at a few 
keyboards at
	http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/reference/keyboards.aspx

this seems to hold for quite a few other languages as well. So maybe
avoiding "[]{}" is a good idea from that point of view. Which of course
means that the choice of "[[link]]" is not so good compared to wikis that
use "((link))". Maybe this is the reason those sites use "((link))"?

Actually, isn't writing links something you do a lot more often than
writing directives?
