[pmwiki-users] Thumblist recipe generates "Function create_function() is deprecated" message

Update: As reported before it seems to work on my personal wiki with php 7.3 & 
pmwiki 2.2.115.

But now when I try to upgrade another wiki with php 5.5 + pmwiki 2.2.97 it 
doesn't work, instead of displaying images I get:

ArrayArrayArray

and similar in the pages...

In the log there is a lot of these lines:
