[pmwiki-users] Google Sitemap

I use pmwiki for two weeks now and managed to create my website.
For Google I wanted to create a sitemap.xml, for which I used the sitemap.php from http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/GoogleSitemaps.
This works, except that I have to remove the created .gz file after processing for regenerating a new sidemap, but that is probably something with security settings.

My question is, the current sitemap.php is using version 0.84 of the sitemap, while Google is preferring version 0.9. Anyone updated the script already?
