Hi all !

PmWiki doesn't generate a canonical link (used by major search engines).
Would it be a good idea to generate one ? how (use $PageUrl (?) variable) ?

I don't know why, I just have seen some of my pages in Google printed in the
form : http://*ww.languefrancaise.net/docs/pmwiki.php?n=Argot.Villatte1884where
I want :
http://www.languefrancaise.net/Argot/Villatte1884 (I use clean url and can't
explain Google's choice).

Yes I know the principal purpose of canonical link is to avoid duplicate
content generated by get param in url, so not the most relevant for pmwiki
(though some people may use things like http get) ;)

I guess it would be very easy to do it in the core or as a cookbook with a
simple param in config to generate a new line in the first part of html page
;
what do you think, if any idea, good and bad ?

Gilles.
