hi russ

petko released his own google map markup, GMap, a while ago:

and Ryan O'Toole just released his MapWiki recipe, and is actively  
maintaining it (i haven't used it yet, but it looks promising)

i'm not sure about the state of GoogleMapAPI - i haven't used it.
