Reading my last mail again, I see that it was not very well written.
Sorry for eventual offence caused.
Just to avoid misunderstandings:
I don't expect anyone to add this functionality just for me. I think
it would be useful also for others, and in the past I had the
impression that I'm not the only one considering it useful.
As I wrote, I do _not_ expect this to be a core component - I agree
with you that it should be a recipe.
But it shouldn't be done by a PHP newbie without support from others.
Someone capable has to take care if the interface changes.
BTW: I already published a piece of code (reverse DNS auth) in this
list hoping that someone could have a look at it because I didn't
know whether I got the integration with PmWiki right. Maybe it wasn't
worth the look.
Since it's not essential for the operation, I (or my successor) could
disable it if problems arise some day. A new page store class is
another dimension. I wouldn't take responsibility for it.
