Thanks Hans, but unless I'm reading it wrong, that shows me how to have 
the data in a separate page. What I'm looking for is to pass the data 
inline from the include statement.

So rather than this:
(:include TemplatePage basepage="TemplateData":)

I'm talking about this:
(:include TemplatePage var1="value" var2="value":)
