[pmwiki-users] pmWiki 2.1.27 - not able to view a site except the Homepage

After downloading http://pmwiki.org/pub/pmwiki/pmwiki-latest.tgz I 
cannot see any .htaccess in ./pmwiki/

# ls -a
.          README.txt docs       pmwiki.php scripts
..         cookbook   local      pub        wikilib.d

How does it has to look like? (so I can create it by hand)
