[pmwiki-users] Presenting search results: "clickable hierarchical" etc.

In Emacs/pmwiki-mode, search results are presented in a hierachical
fashion where at the top level all the groups are listed. Then you click
on a group and it expands to show the pages. I found it very nice there.

Would it make sense to use something similar when the wiki presents search
results and you get a lot of pages?

A simple thing might be to place a list of the groups first among the
results. Clicking an entry in the list then takes you to a corresponding
anchor in the search results where pages from that group are listed.

If some javascript or similar was used, maybe it's even possible to do the
clickable hierarchical thing. That might perhaps also allow a way to let
the search result show an extract from the page in question, i.e. by
clicking "expand" again, you get to see the excerpt.

Just loost thoughs. Any comments?

/Christian
