[pmwiki-users] any solutions to remove all the markups?

I want to make the excerpt for sending a trackback. First of all, I need to 
remove whole markups in an article. I know that for retrieving the text I have 
to use RetrieveAuthPage(), but what next? Is there any built-in functions to 
remove markups?
