[pmwiki-users] again: why white page after installing pmwiki

Hi,
I have one pmwiki installed and working properly (pmwiki-2.0.beta55).

However, a second installation ($Version="pmwiki-2.1.27";
$VersionNum=2001027) gives  only a white page when I try to access it
for the first time. The contents of the page are just
<html><body></body></html>

I do not even know where to start to solve this problem...

Both systems are Suse 10.x installations, but one is a 32-bit
(which works fine) and the other is a 64-bit machine.
