[pmwiki-users] Special characters in title

Hi,
I am trying to use special characters like æ .
They work OK in the text area and in the sidebar, but in the navbar and the content title they disappear and the following character becomes a capital.
Also in the browser address field the special characters are gone.
- any ideas why and what to do?
