PmWiki/SkinTemplates already has:

if ($GLOBALS['action'] == 'print')
  LoadPageTemplate($pagename, "$SkinDir/print.tmpl");

More than one way to skin the cat? Is one method better than the other?

Hmmm, $ActionSkin[]. I take it we can have different skins for browse, edit,
print, history ? That's a nifty bit of flexibility and foresight in the
programming.
