Thanks for the tip.

It's not easy to find a FTP client that support the function you mentioned.
In addition, it seems that this function must be cooperated by some FTP server, which may not be my case.

As for the invalid character, actually I am not sure, either.
My PmWiki is internalized to be a Chinese (simplifid) site, in which all file names appear to be unreadable things.
In Windows file systems, there are many characters are forbidden to be in a file name: '\', '/', '?', '*' ,'|', '"', ':', '<' and '>', so it is not a rare event to encounter such a problem.
