As for needing it, I wouldn't mind since it'd allow me to go over
wiki.lyx.org and finally migrate from using wiki words. It's hardly an
urgent thing however. Actually, doing it might be worth more from a
documentation point of view, if I can help you write down how it works.
Right now the workings and syntax of (:pagelist:) is not very clear to
me...
