Possibly favouring readers over writers (and english over american, as the 
american favor themselves), would «application text», ««required»» with 
*«link» and *««required links»» be acceptable? Or derivations like «link»* 
to match your taste?

But only if your keyboard gives easy 'Alt+[' access to '«'? Not exclusively: 
guiedit.php shortcuts may come to the rescue!

You'd have to widen the scope a little for me to come up with a better 
proposal.
