Sure, but there are more contributors than vandals, so there's less work
for every contributor.
E.g. there's a couple of pages on pmwiki.org that I'd like to keep clean
- less because of vandalism (though that's a factor, too), but to keep
an eye on my recipes, to help people who leave questions there, to keep
the pages organized and tidy.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to actually do that. What's missing is
a way for contributors to leave a mail address so they'll get
notifications whenever somebody edits over their changes.
This has been discussed on and off on the list, but never installed on
pmwiki.org AFAIK. I guess it's because PM doesn't like registration
procedures, which would be needed for having updates automatically sent
to mail addresses without turning PmWiki into a spam emitter.
PM: what's the status of personal mail notifications? Any hopes of
seeing this done this year?
Regards,
Jo
