Is it possible to switch off the "empty spaces at the line start
creates <pre> tags" entirely, perhaps have empty spaces at line starts
converted to -> indentations?
I need to include into wiki pages email text which is often
pre-formatted with a number of empty spaces at the beginning of a
paragraph, to create a first line indent. copy an dpasting this
requires me to remove all the empty spaces by hand, and replace them
with -> markup indents. It would be nice if this could be done
automatically.

I guess <pre> text can still be achieved with [@ .... @] markup.
