The break_page.php recipe provides numbered pages, with each
piece separately editable, using ____ markup. I have just
learnt (from looking at Karl's ==== version) how to integrate
this properly with the new edit form. But it sounds as if I
don't need to bother. :-)

A couple of display suggestions:

- In Page 1 2 3 4 the links to other pages are of course live,
but it's also useful to use (for example) a yellow background
to highlight the current page number

- consider tool tips of the first paragraph on the page numbers

- the following is a possible browse view layout (3rd of 4):

                                           Page 3 (edit)

body text of page 3

                                            Page 1 2 3 4

Just my 05¢.
