[pmwiki-users] How to view a page and its links as at a specified date and time

PITS 00220 which requests this feature is 
currently suspended.

Any hints on how to extract the wiki text as at 
a point in time, so it can be displayed? One 
wants to write 

function PointInTime($pagename, $datetime) {
    ???
    return $page;
}

to return the page as it was at $datetime.
