How about instead of 'semantic' writing 'meaning', 'means' or 'comment', 
e.g.

>    %define=embarrassed color=#ff69b4 meaning=embarrassed%

I'm uncertain if 'semantic' will be clear for average users, or am I
confused and you don't mean 'semantic' as 'meaning' here?
