This would NOT seem to be a problem with the config files, but something
going on somewhere else, perhaps in the wiki engine, Mac php handling, or
Mac Browsers.  

IMHO, this is likely to be such a short term problem that it's hardly worth
dealing with globally for those few Mac Users effected.  

For those worried about this temporary Mac user bump, there is always the
option to temporarily set the GUI off, but the norm should be ON.  AND THEN
find some MAC wizard to dive into the code and try to figure out the
problem that appears unique to that platform.   

Or, if the webware can detect which browser and platform is being used,
have it turned off.  Bottom line, include some temporary screen
documentation about how there's a bug in the Mac webware which causes the
GUI edit buttons not to work.
