fwiw, this seems good to me at present.  i like the block ([x...x]) plus style (%...%) feel.

am i correct to think that this would be implemented as a Markup based on (:div:)? 
would users having keyboards where '[' & ']' are awkward be able to add custom Markups 
to taste?  (those folks must detest [[links]].)
