All you have to do is set the Cookbook directory in config.php--I name 
my Cookbook $FarmC. Although, since I tend to use most of the same 
recipes, I set $FarmC in farmconfig.php, then require individual recipes 
as wanted. This would net the same result, unless you are using two 
different recipes with the same name.

Hmm, everytime I try to put /pub out of the field's directory tree, I 
get complains about the Skin not being available. Otherwise, it would 
work to put /pub in the top-most level of the farm then just set 
$FarmPubDirUrl to '/pub.';
