[Pmwiki-users] spammers - using a wheel that has been invented

Hello,
The blackword maybe simply be a sufficient number of 'http:' references ?
How many links is it legitimate to add in one time to a page ?
2, 3, probably not more.
Even when maintaining my link page, i rarely, if ever, have added more
than 3 addresses in one time, except when i created the page....
So a possible behaviour can be :
. Count the 'http:' references in the original page.
. When page save is asked, count the number of 'http:' references *added*:
a/ if less than 3 addresses are added, allow the page saving
b/ if between 3 and 8 addresses have been added :
- do not save the page (so no history...)
- give the author a link to a page which will explain the limit
(create minimal difficulties to get the info, sort of..).
- blacklist the IP address of the author for 8 hours (say, no edit
right at all during this period).
- Record the IP address somewhere, alongside the added 'http:'
count number
c/ if over 8 addresses have been added :
- Do not save the page, *no* warning
- Blacklist the IP address of the author for 8 hours.
- Record the IP address somewhere, alongside the added 'http:'
count number
And if a reverse lookup on the IP address can be done, that might be a
plus for the record.
There must exists a special procedure to allow link pages to be created
1/ Having entered the admin password...
2/ Another solution is to create a special markup, say :
(:links:)
[=
:site1.com
:site2.net
:site3.org
:site4.fi
=]
Which can be validated by the admin later (make a special call in the
mailpost ?)
Regards
