[Pmwiki-users] Does %class=something% actually work right now?

I thought that the latest pmwiki version supported

	%class=foo%Some text%%

but it doesn't work in practice for me. I've tried a few different 
snippets of CSS, e.g.

	.foo { color:yellow; }

but this doesn't work with generated HTML like this:

	<span style='class:foo; '>text bla bla</span>

in neither Opera, Netscape nor IE.
