[Pmwiki-users] Extended markups module

I'm thinking of creating a Cookbook plugin that enables a lot of
popular markup extensions--i.e., markups that would be commonly useful
but aren't already built-in to PmWiki. I've started a page to get
ideas for useful markup extensions and to allow people to vote on them
at http://www.pmichaud.com/wiki/Development/ExtendedMarkup .

Depending on the votes/feedback, these extended markups might make
it into a Cookbook script, an optional module that is distributed as
part of PmWiki, or perhaps even into the default PmWiki installation itself.

Just to avoid confusion--the purpose of this page is not to document
every possible markup addition one could make or that exists in the
Cookbook or other wikis, and it's not intended as a place to propose
large-scale structural markup constructs. The point is simply propose
and choose good markup sequences for common things such as
underlined text, inserted/deleted text, superscripts/subscripts
and make those easily available as an option to WikiAdministrators.
