Well, despite what it says on the Sandbox page now--it's not really
cleared every 10 minutes--it's cleared whenever ten minutes have
elapsed since the last edit. Thus someone can work on a sandbox
page for more than ten minutes as long as they don't go longer than
ten minutes without saving. This seems entirely consistent with
the purpose of the sandbox page.

Of course, this means that a spammer could keep a link on the page
by doing a post every ten minutes, but they aren't likely to know that.
Indeed, this is partially why I fudged things on the Sandbox text
and just said it's "cleared every ten minutes" instead of "ten minutes
after the last save".

Another benefit of the automatic-clearing is that it solves the
problem I had with sandbox authors removing the "instructions"
at the top of the page while playing with the sandbox--they
automatically get restored a bit later. :-)
