Ross,

There's another markup for tables that isn't yet documented.  

Look at the markup for this page:

http://community.tamucc.edu/wiki/BoysAndGirlsClub/ClubHouse

It includes the valign feature, and some other things.  Note that valign
is a cell attribute, too, not a table attribute.
