[pmwiki-devel] Safe Mode relaxation

The ISP used for the websites I master,
actually a community hosting organisation (wcn.net.nz),
has, understandably,
locked down everything as tight as they can (because they provide us
with pretty well unfettered hosting).
Consequently this means that PmWiki cannot create new directories when
uploading files.
viz (and note the long outstanding double up in the error text)
PmWiki needs to have a writable
/home/ttc/public_html/pmwikiuploads/Trips/ directory before it can
continue. You can create the directory manually by executing the
following commands on your server:
mkdir /home/ttc/public_html/pmwikiuploads//home/ttc/public_html/pmwikiuploads/Trips
chmod 777 /home/ttc/public_html/pmwikiuploads//home/ttc/public_html/pmwikiuploads/Trips
I have enable diag enabled on one page of the website ttc.org.nz.
What is the 'least' relaxation (in PHP or Apache configuration, probably
PHP I guess))
I could ask them to make that would allow PmWiki to do this itself.
thanks in advance
Simon
