Another easily doable option that might not be exactly what you are
looking for (that I've played around with a bit) is <br>
<ul>
<li>Create two wikis Original and Edited (a wiki farm works well). <br>
</li>
<ul>
<li>Copy the original wiki.d folder into the edited wiki.d .</li>
</ul>
<li>Create a simple html page (call it EditMe.html) that contains two
frames. <br>
</li>
<ul>
<li>Each frame would point to or contain a wiki (Original &
Edited). </li>
</ul>
<li>Opening the EditMe.html will open both the original and edited
wiki in separate frames of the same window. <br>
</li>
<li>Both the Original and Edited wikis can be edited from the same
EditMe window, or opened independently as separate individual wikis. <br>
</li>
</ul>
I've sort of tossed around this as an interesting way to set up
competing wiki blogs for political discussions. One might have a
password for one wiki, but not the other.. I've also thought this
concept has other interesting possibilities. <br>
<br>
Anyway, perhaps I'll finally get to test it when PM gets the blog
support figured out.<br>

<pre wrap="">It would be a great thing if PmWiki could have two panels side by side, both
for editing and for reviewing edits.
Have a look at how effective Total Commander is relative other filehandlers.
Bigger screens with more pixels and 16:9 makes room for that.
