I wrote a recipe for a project a few years ago for Hebrew, where the
author entered text in the Roman alphabet, left to right, and the recipe
translated this into the Hebrew equivalent, right to left. There's an
example here:

This project also needed to enter biblical quotations in polytonic Greek,
again using the Roman alphabet:

Once authors learn the alphabet and diacritic translation tables, this is
reasonably effective for short quotations in primarily Roman alphabet
pages.
