[pmwiki-users] four character string crashes pmwiki

When I edit a page in pmwiki and I put the following four character string
'" | ' (double-quote, space, vert-bar, space)... when I click save I get a
"The Connection Was Reset" message.    I also tried pasting within a [= =]
and it make no difference, still crashing.  Each character on it's own does
not cause problems.

Any idea why this could be happening?

PS. This sequence of characters pops up a lot when documenting bash
commands... that is why I care!
