[pmwiki-users] PmWiki : Now Serving Hamburgers! (to Mobile Devices)

Hi list,

I just uploaded Adapt Skin. It serves a "hamburger menu" to small
(mobile) screens and a more conventional side-menu when the viewport
is large enough for one.

I haven't tested the skin with wide variety of web clients yet; it may
not be ready to use on a production site. It works great for editing
PmWiki pages using your mobile device, which was incidentally what I
originally set out to accomplish.

The font size is pretty big so it's easily readable on modern high-dpi
displays. The default appearance is similar to the default PmWiki
skin; you could easily adapt it to look completely different.

At this point the skin is fairly minimalist, with no .php script or
bundled wiki pages included.

It looks like this:

Try it on mobile and/or resize your browser window to see the layout adapt.

You can have a powerful fully operational mobile-responsive
PmWiki-based content management system up and running in minutes using
Adapt Skin and the CMS Mode recipe together. Resource requirements for
a PmWiki CMS are so low that it runs fine on a tiny server made out of
a travel router that only has four megabytes of RAM. Sometimes PmWiki
just makes you smile.

Last but not least, because Mobile Web isn't the only alternative
@medum, Adapt Skin aims to be print-friendly. :-) You might want to
use it as a Print Skin for another skin.

Enjoy.
