If by heading string you mean the page title
- as defined by {title   My page title}
then you can use the predefined (hidden) page variable {$title}  again in
its own page,
in a side bar, header or footer {*$title},
or in any other page {Group.Name$title}
or in a pagelist {Group.Name=$title}
